Mr. Janbaz Khan was born on 28 July 1970, in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the erstwhile North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. A place romanticized by Rudyard Kipling and Joseph Kessel.
Mr. Khan’s initial schooling was from Aitchison College, an institution founded in 1886. During his stay at Aitchison, apart from his initial education, he became a good sportsman.
Subsequently, Mr. Khan culminated his secondary schooling from the prestigious catholic School & College of St. Patrick’s & St. Pauls in Karachi.
As a career diplomat, Mr. Janbaz Khan has held key appointments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the European & Indian desks. He has also served as Director (Personnel), Deputy Chief of Pakistan State Protocol and Director General (Africa Division).
During his tenures abroad, he has served in Türkiye, India, Germany, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan in France, Deputy High Commissioner in the High Commission for Pakistan, Sri Lanka and as Consul General of Pakistan in Vancouver for Western Canada. He is now posted as Ambassador of Pakistan to Negara Brunei Darussalam.
He is a passionate student of History, an avid reader of literature, loves hunting and listening music, with preference toward opera and classical Maestros like Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky etc. He draws his inspiration from his father and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
Mr. Janbaz Khan is married and has a daughter and a son.
