What is NICOP?

National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is an identity card for Pakistanis living abroad.

What is POC?
Pakistan Origin Card (POC) is an identity card which is issued to those Pakistani origin individuals who have renunciated their Pakistani nationality.

Rights of a POC holder

 According to POC Rules 2002, a POC holder can enjoy following rights, benefits and privileges during the validity of his/her card;

1. Multiple visa-free entry into Pakistan
2. Indefinite stay  in  Pakistan  with  exemption  from  reporting  to  police  or foreigners’ registration offices etc.
3. Right to purchase, sell, own, deal with and dispose of movable and immovable property in Pakistan.
4. Right to open and operate the bank accounts in Pakistan.
5. Swift immigration into/from Pakistan at all designated routes, port and places.
6. Proof of Identity in place of National Identity Card.
7. May obtain Employment. 

How to apply? NADRA has launched a Web-Based Application System “Pak Identity” for processing of National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), Pakistan Origin Card (POC) and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) which can only be applied online via NADRA’s website: https://id.nadra.gov.pk/

Note: NICOP, POC and FRC services are NOT provided at the Consulate. Please DO NOT call the consulate for any query related to the ONLINE application of NICOP, FRC & POC.
