Ambassador Hassan Afzal Khan along with officers of the Embassy of Pakistan, visited the iconic La Bombonera, home of Boca Juniors, one of the most successful and widely supported football clubs in Argentina and South America, for a meeting aimed at exploring avenues of sports cooperation between Pakistan and Argentina. The Embassy delegation was warmly welcomed by Ricardo De La Fuente, Vice President of Boca Juniors Club and Secretary of Industry and Productive Development of Florencio Varela, along with his team. During a productive meeting, both sides discussed player exchanges and training opportunities, joint sporting activities between the two countries, possible collaboration with the Pakistan Football Federation, and prospects for the direct procurement of high-quality Made-in-Pakistan sports goods by Argentine clubs and institutions. Following the meeting, the Embassy delegation was given a guided tour of the historic Bombonera Stadium and Boca Juniors’ facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the club’s rich football heritage, passionate fan culture, and world-class sporting infrastructure. Both sides expressed their commitment to continued engagement and agreed to remain in close contact to explore concrete areas of cooperation in football development, sports trade, youth exchanges, and sports diplomacy. Strengthening economic partnerships , promoting stronger commercial linkages between Pakistan and Paraguay and exploring new avenues of cooperation…. The Ambassador, accompanied by the Trade and Investment Counsellor (TIC), visited Paraguay to participate in the International Business Round (FEPY) organized by the Industrial Union of Paraguay (UIP). During FEPY, the commercial section engaged with a number of South American companies through productive business meetings aimed at promoting trade, investment, and commercial collaboration. The visit also included meetings with the Paraguayan Chamber of Motorcycles and Automotive Industries (CIPAMA), the National Council of the Export Maquila Industry (CNIME), the Paraguayan Chamber of Supermarkets (CAPASU), and the Industrial Union of Paraguay (UIP). Discussions focused on bilateral trade-related matters and practical ways to further enhance economic cooperation between Pakistan and Paraguay. The Paraguayan chambers and industry representatives appreciated the Mission’s proactive outreach and commercial engagement efforts, underscoring the growing interest in strengthening business-to-business linkages and expanding trade opportunities between the two countries.

A celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations, powered by friendship, football, and the excellence of Made in Pakistan sports goods and other products. As the world gears up for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Embassy of Pakistan in Argentina brought together sport, friendship, and business through a friendly football match between the Pakistan Embassy/Pakistani diaspora team and their Argentine friends, including businessmen, students, professional players, media representatives, and influencers. The event was organized to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Argentina, while also serving as part of the Mission’s promotional campaign showcasing Pakistan’s world-renowned sports goods industry in the backdrop of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. The match attracted a large and enthusiastic audience comprising Argentine businessmen, academia, media personalities, influencers, professional players, local community members, and families. On the sidelines, a display of Made in Pakistan sports goods and other products (Home Textiles, Pink salt and Basmati rice etc.) highlighted the quality, innovation, and export potential of Pakistani industries. The main highlight of the event was the proud display of TRIONDA the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 match ball, manufactured by Forward Sports in Sialkot, Pakistan. As part of the Mission’s ongoing outreach and trade promotion initiatives, a virtual session on “Business and Investment Opportunities for Argentine Companies in Pakistan” was organized in collaboration with Banco Provincia, one of the leading banks of Buenos Aires. The session was attended by a large number businessmen and entrepreneurs from Buenos Aires, including members of the Bank’s Advisory Board and its clients, who were briefed on Pakistan’s promising export and investment sectors. The webinar was also broadcasted live in academic institutions of Buenos Aires, helping to expand outreach among students and academia. Participants showed keen interest in Pakistan’s export potential and opportunities for bilateral collaboration. Such initiatives play an important role in marketing and promoting Pakistan’s trade, investment and economic potential in Argentina.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Argentina facilitated a webinar jointly organized by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce for Asia & the Pacific and the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), as a follow-up to the MoU signed between the two chambers in November 2025 during the visit of a Pakistani business delegation to Argentina. The webinar witnessed active participation from a large number of Pakistani and Argentine companies, reflecting strong interest in enhancing bilateral commercial engagement. During the session, Mr. Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, President of SCC&I, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting Sialkot’s export-oriented industries and outlining the vast commercial, investment, and joint venture opportunities available for Argentine companies. The Embassy of Pakistan in Buenos Aires marked the 87th Pakistan Day (23rd March) with a flag-raising ceremony at the Chancery, bringing together Embassy staff and members of the local Pakistani community. The Ambassador raised the national flag in a gesture representing unity. He conveyed warm wishes to those in attendance and honoured the legacy of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Official messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read out by the Head of Chancery during the event. The gathering drew to a close with a cake-cutting celebration and prayers offered for Pakistan’s continued peace and prosperity

Mission attended #Expoagro2026 held from 10-13th March in San Nicolas de Los Arroyos. It is the largest and one of the most important Agro-industrial Exhibition in Argentina and the region which brings together more than 500 exhibitors and international delegates , making it a key hub for innovation, business networking and partnerships in the agro sector. During the visit, productive exchange meetings were held with the leading Agroindustrial companies including Dolby and IPESA as well as several other innovative firms , showcasing cutting edge agricultural machinery, grain storage solutions and agri technology. The discussions focused on potential collaboration and joint venture opportunities in the field of Agriculture machinery, post-harvest technology and Agri-business aiming to stregthen ties between Pakistan & Argentina and exploring opportunities that can benefit both countries agricultural sectors.

Pakistan Mission in Argentina participated in a "Multi sectoral Business negotiation round "organised by the Municipality of Florencio Varela, Ministry of Production of the province of Buenos Aires .Around 200 Argentine companies from different sectors participated in the event. During the business round, the Trade and investment counsellor held productive exchange meetings with various Argentine multisectoral companies , wherein , they were briefed about the potential export and investment sectors and business opportunities available in Pakistan. Acclaimed Argentine artist Mr.Adrián Bojko called on Ambassador Hassan Afzal Khan at the Embassy, following his recent visit to Pakistan, where Mr. Adrián attended the World Culture Festival 2025 in Karachi.His abstract artwork was featured at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) Karachi's Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery. During the meeting, Adrián spoke very highly of Pakistan, sharing his appreciation for the country’s rich cultural heritage, artistic diversity, and the warm hospitality he experienced throughout his stay. He particularly highlighted the vibrant creative energy of Karachi and the meaningful cultural exchanges that took place during the festival. "Expanding Pakistan's🇵🇰 footprints in South America" Embassy of Pakistan in Buenos Aires in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organized Pakistan-Argentina Business round/B2B event on 11-12th November 2025. The opening session was inaugurated by H.E Hassan Afzal khan, the Ambassador of Pakistan alongside the senior representatives from public & private sectors of Argentina . During the two days event , which was attended by 13 leading Pakistani companies and more than 220 businessmen from Argentina , around 250 structured B2B meetings were organized by the trade section of the embassy that resulted in to a number of confirmed commercial deals. The successful outcomes reflects the growing interest of Argentine buyers in high quality Pakistani products. This initiative marks a major step in unlocking new business opportunities between the countries.

Visit of Pakistan National Hockey Team to Argentina Ambassador Hassan Afzal Khan was pleased to host the Pakistan National Hockey Team at the Embassy of Pakistan in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Pakistan 🇵🇰 Hockey Team arrived in Argentina on 3 December 2025 to participate in the FIH Pro League. During the tour, Pakistan will play four matches against Argentina and the Netherlands. While welcoming the players, the Ambassador congratulated them on qualifying for the Pro League and extended his best wishes for their upcoming matches. He also assured the team of the Embassy’s full support and facilitation throughout their stay in Argentina. Captain of the Pakistan Hockey Team, Mr. Ammad Shakeel Butt, appreciated the warm welcome and gesture extended by Ambassador Hassan Afzal Khan.
