According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education, in the Kyrgyz Republic, training of specialists in internships (House Job) in medical specialties at the postgraduate level is carried out in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 444 dated September 4, 2023, as well as the requirements of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).
According to the “Regulations on Internship”, approved by the above-mentioned resolution, the duration of internship is 12 months, including a leave of absence of 28 calendar days. Internship training time is included in professional and general work experience.
At the end of the internship, graduates undergo a unified state certification. For intern doctors who have passed the final state certification, the educational organization issues a certificate of completion of the internship in a form approved by the authorized state body, which gives the right to professional practice both in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and abroad.
Today in the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign students can undergo internships in the following educational organizations of higher professional education:
- Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev;
- International School of Medicine International University of Kyrgyzstan;
- International Higher School of Medicine;
- Osh State University;
- Asian Medical Institute named after S. Tentishev.
Admission to internship in the above educational organizations of higher professional education is carried out based on the results of an interview.
