Ambassador of Pakistan Faisal Niaz Tirmizi called on Mr. Bakyt Nurdzhanovich Sharshembiyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technology and Communications this morning to further explore collaboration between the two countries in the field of I.T and communications. Mr. Bakyt expressed keen interests in collaboration between IT sectors of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan both at governmental as well as private sectors level. He also sought help of Pakistan to provide quality education to Kyrgyz nationals in the field of I.T. He briefed Ambassador on the initiatives taken by the Government of Kyrgyzstan on e-governance with the help of Estonia and USAID and on central platform called Tundok of the Kyrgyz Government to share information across all government agencies and general public. Ambassador briefed him on exponential growth of IT sectors in the last few years with IT exports touching US$ 1 billion. Ambassador also appraised him about the progress made in Pakistan in providing university education in the fields of computer technology and software development. Bishkek 31st October, 2018
