The Mission organized a Flag Hoisting Ceremony and a Community event at the Chancery to commemorate Pakistan Day. It was attended by our Kyrgyz friends and media, prominent members of Pakistani diaspora and student fraternity. Kyrgyz TV 15 and AkiPress covered the event.
The ceremony began with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Molana Muhammad Aslam Atari followed by the national flag being raised by the Head of Mission. Messages of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar were read out to the audience. Appreciation certificates were awarded to the following Kyrgyz and Pakistani community members for their social services to Pakistani community during 2024:
- Mr. Edigeev Dzhanat - for his social service to the Pakistani community
- Mr. Daniyar Tologonov -for his social service to the Pakistani community
- Mr. Ryspek Niyazaliev - for his social service to the Pakistani community
- Ms. Aizada Arzymatova – for her contributions in strengthening cooperation between the pharmaceutical sectors of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan
- Mr. Khurram Shahzad - for his social service to the Pakistani community
- Mr. Faqeer Muhammad - for his social service to the Pakistani community
- Mr. Sajjad Ahmed - for his social service to the Pakistani community
- Mr. Ali Zunair - for his services as the volunteer with the embassy
- Mr. Faiz Ullah - for his services as the volunteer with the embassy
- Mr. Muhammad Zubair - for his performance at the embassy on occasions
A promotional video of Pakistan tourism was played to the viewers. Moreover, guests were entertained with the national songs of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan by renowned Pakistani singer Mr. Muhammad Zubair. The audience expressed keen interest in the photo exhibition of famous tourist destinations of Pakistan displayed on the occasion of the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Hasan Ali Zaigham gave a brief overview of recent progress in Kyrgyz-Pakistan relations and expressed confidence that the relationship would continue to flourish in the coming years based on solid foundations laid by various bilateral consultation mechanisms. He also briefed about the initiatives of the Embassy to improve consular services and steps taken by the Mission towards community welfare. He underlined that presence of more than 10,000 Pakistani students in the Kyrgyz Republic is a reflection of the strength of Pak-Kyrgyz relations.
In the end, the Ambassador accompanied by his wife, DHM and other dignitaries cut the ceremonial cake to mark the occasion. Special prayers were offered for the peace, progress and prosperity of the homeland. Kyrgyz guests were provided gift bags containing popular Pakistani food brands.
