Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan called on H.E. Mr. Erlan Bekeshovich Abdyldaev, Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic to present copies of his credentials. The Foreign Minister congratulated him on his appointment as the seventh Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan and expressed satisfaction on excellent relationship between the two brotherly countries. He also sought Pakistan's cooperation on effective use of GSP Plus status. He hoped that implementation of CASA-1000 projects would gain speed in coming years during the tenure of the new Ambassador. This project will integrate power lines of Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan through the Wakhan corridor in Afghanistan. He also appreciated the role of Pakistan in fighting extremism and its constructive role to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan and the region. Ambassador thanked the Foreign Minister for receiving him and conveyed him the greetings of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The Ambassador assured him that all efforts would be made to further deepen and strengthen already existing excellent relations between the two countries. The Ambassador also assured him that Pakistan would help Kyrgyzstan in getting all benefits of GSP Plus and stressed the need for more cooperation not only between the two governments but also business sectors of both countries especially in the field of textiles and information technology. Ambassador Tirmizi will formally present his credentials to H.E. Mr. Sooronbay Jeenbekov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic along with Ambassadors of nine other countries at a ceremony at the President Office. Bishkek 10th October, 2018
