On June 5, 2026, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. This was reported by the Presidential Administration.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on current challenges, including those related to the rapid development of digital technologies. The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening information security and jointly countering cyber threats.
The Head of State emphasized that the meeting is taking place during a significant period – the year of the 25th anniversary of the Organization and Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in it, held under the motto “25 Years of the SCO: Together for Sustainable Peace, Development and Prosperity”.

Kyrgyzstan was visited by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Pakistan – Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi
