On 13th July 2025, the Pakistan U-18 Men’s Hockey Team played in the Finals of the Asian Championships, being held in the city of Dazhou. This followed a 10 day tournament, where 11 of Asia’s best teams participated.
Pakistan progressed to the finals, having beat a strong Malaysian side, in a 4-3 shootout, after the match was tied 3-3 during regulation. The latter went on to win the Bronze Medal. Pakistan’s opponent in the Final, was Japan, who also progressed to the Final, after a tough fought match against Bangladesh, 6-4.
After a grueling match, Pakistan ended up winning the Silver Medal. Pakistani Captain, Mr. Adeel, ended up being declared the Rising Player of the Tournament, for his excellent performances, throughout the tournament.
Throughout the team’s stay, the Consulate provided necessary assistance and facilitation, and Deputy Consul General, along with members of the Consulate were present at the Final, to buck up and support the team, to boost their morale, while they competed.
