Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir (5 August)

Today, the Embassy of Pakistan in Bucharest observed Youm-e-Istehsal (5 August) to reaffirm Pakistan's unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Messages of the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out. During the event, a special documentary was also screened, highlighting the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), following India's unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, to alter the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.

During her remarks, Ms. Shazia Muneer, Chargé d' Affaires a.i., highlighted the significance of the day and reiterated Pakistan's principled support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
