Mr. Murad Baseer is a career diplomat of the Foreign Service of Pakistan. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2003. He is currently serving as the Consul General of Pakistan in Milan, Italy. Before coming to Milan, Mr. Murad Baseer served as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the Republic of Zimbabwe with concurrent accreditations to the Republic of Angola, Zambia, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mr. Murad Baseer holds a Master of Science (M. Sc) degree in Defense and Strategic Studies (1997) along with a pre-doctorate degree in Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in International Relations (2003) from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Apart from his native Urdu language, Mr. Murad Baseer speaks English and Turkish with proficiency. He also has working knowledge of Arabic, French, and Italian.
Ambassador Murad Baseer is an outdoors enthusiast and enjoys camping, hiking, trekking, and other outdoor activities. He likes to read, travel, and play chess. He is also actively involved in shooting sports, especially rifle and pistol shooting, and is an ardent motorcycle rider.
