Ms Aqsa Nawaz assumed the charge as 5^th Consul General of Pakistan Milan on May 2022.

Her last appointment was as the Director General (CARs and West Asia), Ministry of Foreign Affairs from September 2020 to April 2022. Prior to that, she served as the Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan Bangkok (August 2014–August 2017); Second Secretary, Pakistan Mission to the United Nations New York (February 2007–March 2010).

Ms Aqsa Nawaz joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2003. At the Ministry’s Headquarters, she served in various important roles which includes Deputy Chief of Protocol, in Camp Office Lahore from January 2020 to September 2020,  Director (Afghanistan), (June 2019 -December 2019); Director (Europe), (September 2017–May 2019);  Director (Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs), (December 2013–July 2014); Director (OIC), (July 2012–November 2013); Director (Europe), (April 2010–August 2011);Assistant Director (July 2003–August 2005).

She has a demonstrated career of working in the international affairs with skills in diplomacy, international relations, foreign policy and international human rights

 She holds a degree in Master of Science (M.Sc.) and is a graduate of University of Oxford.
