Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with Cote d’Ivoire. In order to further strengthen our relations, Pakistan under look Africa Policy opened a resident Mission in Abidjan in February 2022. Pakistan’s first resident Ambassador Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Chaudhry presented his letter of credence to the President of Cote d’Ivoire on 03 March 2022.
Pakistan offers capacity building courses to the officials of Cote d’Ivoire from time to time in the fields of diplomacy, banking.
In last decades, no bilateral exchanges have taken place at the Leadership level. In 2010, the Ivorian Foreign Secretary visited Pakistan for inauguration of its Honorary Consulate General in Karachi. HE Madam Kandia Camara, Foreign Minister visited Pakistan in March 2022 to attend the OIC CFM. Ivorian Speaker of National Assembly Mr. AdamaBictogo visited Pakistan from 12-16 February, 2023. He met President, Foreign Minister, Commerce Minister and Chief of Army Staff. He held meeting with our Speaker of National Assembly and the two sides signed MoU of cooperation between the two National Assemblies.
