Issuance and Renewal of Machine Readable Passports

Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) are issued in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. Our embassy provides modern, efficient passport services for Pakistani citizens in Türkiye and selected countries.

Important: Applicants DO NOT need any application forms or photographs for MRP applications as all data entry, photo, signature, and thumb impression capturing are done by our trained MRP staff using the latest technology.

Eligibility for MRP Services

New/Renewal of MRP

The presence of the applicant is mandatory for Biometrics
Original valid CNIC/NICOP and Photocopy
Original Machine Readable Pakistani Passport and Photocopy
Original Residence Card (Kimlik) and Photocopy

Lost Passport Cases

First or Second loss: Submit a copy of the lost passport and the original CNIC/NICOP
Third-Time loss: Case sent to the Directorate of Immigration and Passport, Islamabad
Requires clearance before processing

Children Below 18 Years

The presence of the child and one parent is mandatory
Original valid CNIC/NICOP and passport
Original Residence Card and Meldezettel Certificate
Original Pakistani Birth Certificate
Parents' original Pakistani Identity cards

Newborn Passport

First, apply forthe NICOP & Child Registration Certificate online
The presence of the applicant is mandatory
Original birth certificate of newborn
Parents' CNIC/NICOP, passports ,and residence permits
Original Marriage Registration Certificate

Emergency Travel Document

Issued for traveling back to Pakistan only
For extreme emergency cases when a passport is unavailable
Applicant must submit proof of a genuine emergency
Issued on a case-by-case basis

Passport Collection

Appear in person with the original Token Receipt
Bring your previous passport if any
In case of token loss, submit an affidavit
An authority letter is required for collection by someone else
