Ambassador of Pakistan to Austria and Slovakia, Aftab Ahmad Khokher, held E-Kachehri today for Pakistani community in Austria and Slovakia. Many Pakistanis residing in Austria attended the meeting.
Ambassador Aftab Ahmad Khokher, in his opening remarks, thanked the community for joining the Embassy on Independence and Defence Day celebrations on 11 September. He informed the participants that Pakistan had facilitated in evacuation of Austrian nationals from Afghanistan which was very well appreciated by Austrian Foreign Minister and Secretary General during their telephonic conversation with their counterparts in Pakistan. He shared main points of speech of Prime Minister Imran Khan, during his address to 76th session of UN General Assembly, with the community. Ambassador Khokher intimated that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had allowed receipt of remittances through international exchange companies and money transfer companies and had given tax exemption on it for promotion of remittances to Pakistan. He also shared the details of Roshan Apna Ghar with the community which aimed at providing hassel-free digital medium to overseas Pakistanis to purchase, own and sell property in Pakistan.
The community members shared their problems for some consular matters which were addressed by Ambassador Khokher. He assured that he would continue his engagement with the community for addressing their issues and encouraged them to actively participate in E-Kachehri.
