The 5th round of Bilateral Consultations between Pakistan and the Netherlands was held in The Hague at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands on 01 June 2015. The Pakistan side was led by Mr. Nadeem Riyaz, Additional Secretary (Europe) and the Dutch side was led by Mr. Wim Geerts, Director General (Political Affairs), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the consultations, the two sides, reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and explored various possibilities of further strengthening political, economic, education and cultural ties. They also exchanged views on global and regional issues.
The talks were held in a frank and cordial atmosphere and it was agreed that the next round of Political Consultations would be held in Islamabad on mutually convenient dates in 2016.
Earlier, the Additional Secretary visited Clingendael Institute and delivered a talk on the Foreign Policy of Pakistan. He also held talks with the Human Rights Ambassador Mr. Kees van Baar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
