CONSULAR SERVICES

The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul and its four Consulates in Kandahar, Herat, Jalalabad and Mazar-e-Sharif continue to provide efficient, courteous and friendly Consular Services to all Pakistanis and Foreigners. The primary responsibility is to fulfill the requirement of legalization of various documents emanating from Pakistan and abroad. In addition, our Mission(s) provide various Consular Services to Overseas Pakistanis and foreigners within their jurisdiction in the following areas:

• Attestation of Documents
• Repatriation of Pakistanis
• Provision of Consular access to detained Pakistanis in different detention centers
• Assistance to destitute Pakistani citizens
• Provision of legal aid to overseas Pakistanis
• Welfare Services

SOPs FOR ATTESTATION OF DOCUMENTS

• The Mission provides services for attestation of various types of documents. All documents originating from Pakistan should be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad or one of its Liaison Offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Gujrat.
• Documents originating from Afghanistan should first be attested from the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Fee for attestation of one documents is US$ 3/- which is payable in cash to Embassy’s Consular Section.
• Ladies and Gentlemen can directly visit the Embassy for attestation of documents. Those unable to come in person can send their blood relative for which the designated person is required to prove his/her relation with the applicant.
• In case of designated person is other than blood relative, an authority letter duly attested is required.
• Documents complete in all respects are expeditiously attested.
• Dubious and incomplete documents are referred to the issuing/attesting authority for re-verification.

SOPs FOR ATTESTATION OF POWER OF ATTORNEY

• Fee for attestation of Power of Attorney per executant is US$ 3/- which is payable in cash to Embassy’s Consular Section.
• Ladies and Gentlemen can directly visit the Embassy for attestation of documents.
• In case the Power of Attorney is originated from Pakistan, it should first be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad or one of its Liaison Offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Gujrat.
• In case a Pakistani national wants to originate Power of Attorney in Afghanistan, the applicant should visit in person along with two witnesses and original Power of Attorney, passport, CNIC, two photographs.
• In case an Afghan national wants to send a Power of Attorney, it should first be translated into English and attested from Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Note: The applicants may personally visit the Embassy alongwith original documents from 09:00 am to 12:30 pm.
