Q: How can I apply for online visa?
Answer: Kindly visit https://visa.nadra.gov.pk to apply online visa. Please fill in all the fields of the application form, even if it is not mandatory. Providing current residence address and phone number is a must. If there is any technical problem with application or payment, directly contact NADRA by clicking on their Contact us option. Please carefully choose the correct category (Family Visit Visa, Tourism/Visit Visa, Business Visa etc.) from the online visa portal to avoid unnecessary delays and inconvenience. Carefully choose the consular jurisdiction (Pakistan Embassy) before applying visa online.
Important: Applicants must plan travel only upon receipt of a valid visa. Additionally, it is important to note that “family visit” category is only for spouse and children of Pakistani Nationals.
Q: What is processing time for e-visa?
Answer: The processing time for each category will start when an application is lodged after completion of attaching required documents. If the application is sent back for Review to the Applicant, the set processing time will re-start from the date of re-submission or completion of the application.
Important: In certain cases, the applicant can be called for in-person interview.
Q: Do I need to send my Passport for online visa?
Answer: No. Visa is issued online, and you will get a Visa Grant Notice online that you must print out. The Visa Grant Notice is your electronic visa.
You do not need to send any documents to the Embassy.
Q: How will I pay for online visa?
Answer: Please follow the instructions in the e-visa application platform for fee payment. You will pay online by credit card (Master card / Visa Card) while applying for online visa.
Important: Visa fees is non-refundable.
Important: Visa can be refused, or duration of visa can be modified by the issuing authority without assigning any reason. Issuance of visa is the prerogative of the Government of Pakistan, exercised through designated authorities.
Q: I made a mistake in the name/date of birth/Passport number, can I correct it?
Answer: Please make sure that before submitting your application, your name, date of birth and Passport number is the same as written on your Passport. It is applicant’s responsibility to make sure the particulars are correct and match Passport. If the application comes back to you for review in case your application is incomplete and some additional documents or requirements need to be fulfilled, then you have the chance to check your particulars carefully again, that is, name, date of birth and Passport number etc. However, incorrect father name cannot be corrected. In such case, visa is rejected and fresh application needs to be submitted.
Important: Once the visa is issued, it cannot be corrected later, and the applicant has to re-apply for a fresh visa with new fees.
Q: I want to apply for e-visa, what should I write/select for “type of Passport”?
Answer: All common people and citizens of a country have ordinary Passports; and should write/select passport type as “ordinary”.
However, diplomatic/Official and UNLP passports are with special categories of people who are working as diplomat at Foreign Embassies/Consulate General/United Nation Organization and High Ranking Officials like Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Ministers, Members of Parliament, Senators etc.
Important: In case of selecting wrong passport type, it cannot be changed, and applicant will have to re-submit fresh visa application. Therefore, please be careful with the selection of options and revise application thoroughly before submission.
Important: Selecting wrong category of passport will lead to the rejection of visa.
Q: I want to apply e-visa for a child, which documents are required?
Answer: For each child irrespective of age, a separate application must be submitted. Following documents must be submitted along with the application:

Q: How can I get attested any documents generated by Pakistani Government, from the Embassy (including educational certificates/ degrees, FRC-NADRA etc)?
Answer: Such documents can be verified at Embassy, if they are attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, within period of last three months. It may be noted that the QR Codes, affixed by MoFA, must be clear and readable.

Q: Does Embassy attest any affidavit, signed by Pakistani, to present in any Afghan office?
Answer: Embassy attests such affidavits, if they are attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, within period of last three months.

Q: Who can apply for Emergency Travel Document?
Answer: Emergency Travel Document (ETD) is issued to the Pakistani nationals for travelling back to Pakistan only in extreme emergency cases when their Pakistani Passport is not available OR they are not eligible for issuance of a new passport / renewal of passport.

Answer: If your Pakistan E-Visa or manual Visa still valid you can travel to Pakistan with your two passports (Old and New) as long as the visa is valid, not damaged. Also, the name and date of birth and other personal data should be the same in both passports. Q: I received my Visa Grant Notice but there is a mistake in spelling of my name and date of birth. Can the Embassy correct these mistakes?
Answer: No, a Visa Grant Notice is automatically computer generated on the basis of information given and typed by the applicant. Once the Visa Grant Notice is issued, it can neither be changed nor corrected. Only an applicant can make corrections and edition either during the submission of an application or review process in the following three areas:
If there is any mistake in the Visa Grant Notice, it is because of the applicant and not due to the Visa Officer. If there is a mistake in Visa Grant Notice, an applicant has not only to re-apply, but also to re-pay for a new application.
