“Pakistan and Brazil will continue supporting each other’s candidatures in multilateral forums”, the Brazilian Undersecretary General Ambassador Fernando Simas observed. He said that in a detailed meeting held with Ambassador Najm us Saqib of Pakistan, at the Brazilian Foreign Office (Itamaraty) today.

The two sides took stock of all bilateral matters concerning cooperation on major international issues and interest as well as extending support to each other candidatures at multilateral forums including the United Nations.

Both also discussed regional matters and prevailing geo-strategic situation in the region. In particular, Ambassador Saqib updated the Undersecretary General on Pakistan-India relations with special reference to the central issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan and Brazil have been extending support to each other’s candidature at various multilateral forums. Both countries enjoy friendly relations based on principle of friendship, understanding and cooperation. Their bilateral relations can be characterized by friction free cordiality with a shared perception of a whole range of regional and global issues.
