Responding to a call by the Embassy of Pakistan, the Pakistani community based in Brasilia formed Pakistan-Brazil Association (PBA) at the Embassy of Pakistan, Brasilia today. Introducing various office bearers of PBA, the President of the newly formed Association Malik Muhammad Anwar informed that the PBA would be a non-political, non-profitable and charitable Association. Mr. Anwar stated that the PBA’s constitution was being finalized before having it registered with the relevant Department of Brazil. The PBA would work towards the welfare of all Pakistanis residing in Brazil.
Expressing pleasure at the formation of PBA, the Ambassador of Pakistan in Brazil H.E. Mr. Najm us Saqib briefed and guided the community members on the real essence and objectives of such an Association and congratulated them on achieving this milestone.
The Ambassador urged the community members to remain focused on the stated objectives of PBA mainly the provision of community service to the resident Pakistanis. In this regard, the Ambassador assured his full support and assistance to the PBA in order for the Association to become the true voice of all Pakistanis residing in Brazil. In the end, the Ambassador urged the PBA to strengthen the foundation of the Association for achieving their overall objectives.
