Pakistan condemns terror attack in Sri Lanka
The news about the terrorist attack near a Mosque in southern Sri Lanka on the occasion of the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was received with deep sense of grief in Pakistan. We strongly condemn the cowardly attack on innocent persons at a time when they were busy in their religious obligations. The Government and the people of Pakistan, being themselves victim of terrorism, express their solidarity with the victims of the attack.
We are confident that the Government of Sri Lanka would be able to apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime and bring them to justice.
