UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) yesterday received 16 books from the Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei.

Ahmed Ali Sirohey handed the books to the university’s rector, Dr Hj Noararfan Hj Zainal, at the handover ceremony.

The books cover a wide range of topics such as Islamic studies, international relations, political economy and Pakistan’s history.

In a Pakistan High Commission press statement, Rector Dr Hj Noararfan and his team thanked the mission for the donation. He further said that the donated books were a welcome addition to the library’s collection, adding the materials would be useful to the university’s students.

He hoped that more contributions would be made to the collection in the future from the mission to strengthen the reference book corner.

Aside from the donation, the envoy and rector along with his team discussed bilateral cooperation and collaboration between Pakistani universities and UNISSA.
