Pakistan Independence Day Celebrated in Tehran            

An official ceremony to mark the 74^th anniversary of Independence of Pakistan was held at Pakistan House Tehran, today. Members of Pakistani community in Iran, officials of the Embassy, journalists and media representatives attended the ceremony. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and to ensure compliance with health guidelines, the ceremony was kept brief and a limited number of guests were invited.

The ceremony commenced with the playing of national anthem & hoisting of the national flag by Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi. It was followed by reading out of Messages of President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

Recalling the historical importance of the day, Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi paid rich tributes to the founding fathers of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr. Allama Iqbal and other leaders who led the Pakistan movement and offered sacrifices for the creation of an independent Muslim state.

While congratulating the Pakistani diaspora on Pakistan’s Independence Day, Ambassador urged them to serve the country with dedication. Since independence, Pakistan has faced multiple challenges, but by the grace of Almighty Allah and with the dedication and hard work of our citizens, our country has succeeded in overcoming the obstacles to continue its forward march as a modern and progressive state.

The participants also expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), who continue to suffer from systematic persecution and human rights violations by the Indian occupation forces. Ambassador Qureshi called upon the international community to take measures for the peaceful resolution of IIOJK dispute as enshrined in the relevant resolutions UN Security Council.

Focusing on regional peace and security, the Ambassador stressed the importance of peaceful and negotiated settlement of Afghan conflict that was Afghan-owned and Afghan-led. Pakistan, being a victim of terrorism and cross border infiltration, was committed to playing a constructive role to facilitate dialogue among various Afghan factions.

برگزاری روز استقلال پاکستان در تهران

    امروز مراسمی به مناسبت هفتاد و چهارمین سالروز استقلال پاکستان در خانه پاکستان واقع در تهران برگزار شد. در این مراسم اعضای جامعه پاکستانی مقیم ایران، اعضای سفارت، خبرنگاران و اصحاب رسانه حضور بهم رساندند. به دلیل شیوع بیماری کووید ۱۹ و به منظور رعایت پروتکل های بهداشتی، این مراسم مختصر و با حضور تعداد محدودی از میهمانان برگزار شد.

    مراسم با سرود ملی پاکستان و اهتزاز پرچم پاکستان توسط سفير رحيم حيات قریشی آغاز شد و به دنبال آن پیام های رئيس جمهور، نخست وزیر و وزیر امورخارجه پاکستان قرانت شد.

    سفير پاکستان رحیم حیات قریشی ضمن اشاره به اهمیت تاریخی این روز، ادای احترام ویژه به بنیانگذار ملت قائد اعظم (محمد علی جناح)، دکتر علامه اقبال و سایر رهبرانی داشتند که جنبش مردم پاکستان را رهنمون بوده و در ایجاد یک کشور مستقل برای مسلمان فداکاری نمودند.

    سفير پاکستان ضمن عرض تبریک به جامعه پاکستانی خارج از کشور به مناسبت روز استقلال پاکستان، از آنان خواست تا متعهدانه به کشور خود خدمت رسانی کنند. پاکستان از زمان استقلال با چالشهای بسیاری روبرو بوده وليکن به لطف خداوند متعال و با فداکاری و سختکوشی مردمان آن، همواره توانسته بر این موانع فائق آمده و در مسیر خود به سوی کشوری مدرن و روبه توسعه قدم بردارد.

    حاضرین در این مراسم همچنین با مردم مظلوم جامو و کشمير اشغالی و غیرقانونی هند ابراز همدردی نمودند، مردمانی که همواره از نقض حقوق بشر و پیگردهای نظام مند نیروهای اشغالگر هند در رنج و عذاب بوده اند. سفیر پاکستان از جامعه بین الملل خواست تا در راستای حل و فصل مسالمت آمیز مناقشه جامو وكشمير اشغالی هند طبق قطعنامه های مربوطه شورای امنیت سازمان ملل اقدام نماید. وی با اشاره بر صلح و امنیت منطقه، بر اهمیت حل و فصل مسالمت آمیز درگیری افغانستان تحت رهبری افغانستان و متعلق به افغان‌ها ، نیز تاکید نمود. پاکستان بعنوان یکی از قربانیان تروریسم و نفوذ فرامرزی بر ایفای نقشی سازنده در تسهیل گفتمان میان جناح های مختلف افغانستان متعهد است.
