A delegation of the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) led by Mr. Aasim Azeem Siddiqui, Chairman called on H.E. Mr. Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Hon’ble Minister for Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Jute. Syed Rafeo Bashir Shah, CEO TCP and High Commissioner Mr. Imran Haider also attended the meeting. The two sides discussed various avenues for strengthening business-to-business linkages and realizing the full potential of bilateral trade. They agreed to convene the meeting of the Joint Working Group on Trade at the earliest to further enhance trade cooperation, identify new areas of collaboration, and address existing trade barriers. The Chairman thanked the Hon’ble Minister for his keen interest in promoting and expanding trade relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Separately, the Chairman and CEO of TCP met with Brigadier General Mohammad Foyshol Azad, PSC, Chairman of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh. Discussions focused on food security and strengthening institutional mechanisms to enhance bilateral trade particularly in the essential commodities.
