Mr. Imran Haider, born in 1969, is a career diplomat who joined the Pakistan Foreign Service in 1996. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served in various capacities including Section Officer, Deputy Director/Director National Assembly Secretariat and Senate Affairs, Director for Disarmament, Director General Services, and Director General for Central Asian Republics (CARS) & Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
He has held diplomatic assignments at Pakistan Missions in New York (UN), Abu Dhabi, New Delhi, Madrid, and Tehran.
He remained Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan from 2019 to 2023, and to Myanmar from March 2024 to August 2025. He is currently serving as High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh.
