Ministry of Economic Affairs, Government of Pakistan is administering Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) since 1976.Since then thousands of foreign students have successfully completed their degress under this programme.
- The minimum educational qualification for admission to all disciplines is Higher Secondary School Certificate(HSSC) or an equivalent qualification. The deadline for submission of application is August 15,2025. The specific eligibility requirements for each discipline are as follows:

- The general conditions are as under:
- Must be recommended by the respective government or embassy
- Seats for foreign students are available in the institutions throughout Pakistan. The educational institutions are allocated to students by MoEA based on merit,choice of the students, and the availability of slots. Moreover, institutions are not bound to entertain the students after expiry of their prescribed deadline.
- The general eligibility / final selection of students will be made by theinstitutions concerned, keeping in view their admission criteria.
- Eligibility of students in terms of equivalence of certificates and grades will be determined by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC), Islamabad along with their applications forms, no application will be considered without Equivalency Certificate.
- The students admitted under PTAP will be required to pay the prescribed fee applicable under the Program to the institution concerned. Expenses on travelling, boarding and lodging etc. are also to be borne by student themselves.
- Migration from one institute to another shall be governed by the relevant policy of the institutions concerned.
- Exemption from tuition fee and other dues will be dealt as per policy of the institutions concerned.
- Updated/latest application form which can be downloaded from MoEA’s website i.e.www.ead.gov.pkshould be preferably typed or printed and submitted in quadruplicatealong with the attested copies of the following documents:
- Certificates/Marks Sheets of HSSC examination / or equivalent examination
- Recent photograph passport size (4 copies)
- Copies of the Passport of the applicant
- Equivalence Certificate by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) Islamabad
- Undertaking by those candidates applying for admission in Medical and Dental Colleges of Pakistan to the effect, that they are not already studying in any other Medical/ Dental college of Pakistan at the time of applying for PTAP seat.
- All interested candidates are advised to submit their nominations to the Embassy along with the above mentioned documents for admissions under PTAP as per existing quota.
