Ambassador Muhammad Ayub congratulated Pakistan Navy Commodore Ahmed Hussain on assuming the command of Combined Task Force (CTF)-151. The change-of-command ceremony was held on April 14 at Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) headquarters in Bahrain. CTF-151 is one of the three Task Forces operating within the ambit of a 34-nation Combined Maritime Forces in the region. Established in 2009, CTF-151 enhances regional maritime cooperation and security for the uninterrupted flow of maritime traffic through the Middle East. It is the10th time Pakistan is leading CTF- 151. Currently, Pakistan is also commanding CTF-150 for the 12th time. The Mission of the CTF-150 is to promote maritime security to counter terrorist acts and related illegal activities. Over the years, Pakistan Navy has been actively participating in international coalition operations to ensure peace and maritime security in the region.
