Ambassador of Pakistan in Serbia, Mr. Syed Adil Gilani called on Ms. Tatjana Jovic, Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of Serbia in the Presidency of Serbia, on 18 May 2018.
Ambassador Gilani presented to her the message of felicitation from H.E. Mamnoon Hussain, President of Pakistan addressed to H.E. Alexander Vucic, President of Serbia on the occasion of 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Serbia which were established on 18 May 1948.
Ambassador Gilani apprised the Adviser of the host of activities planned to celebrate this event which include, cultural gala, training of Serbia Cricket Federation by the Pakistan Cricket Board, exhibition of historic documents related to 70 years of bilateral relations and exhibition of Pakistani products and mangoes in Serbia etc. The events also include Agreements and MOU between Serbian and Pakistani institutions e.g. Pakistani Television and Radio-Television of Serbia, Serbia Pakistan Friendship Society and Pakistani Organization for holding of boxing matches in Pakistan, Serbia and UK and exchange of business delegation between Pakistan and Serbia. As part of this event, a Visa Free regime between Pakistan and Serbia and renaming a park or road in Belgrade on Pakistan or Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is also under process.
Ambassador Gilani presented a Cricket bat with signatures of renowned cricketers as a gift to the President of Serbia HE Aleksandar Vucic. He also presented Sindhi cap and Ajrak to the Adviser, which is a mark of high respect in the Pakistani culture.
