Ambassador Saima Sayed visited Republic of Guinea Bissau from Dec 4-7,2023 at the invitation of the President of Guinea Bissau to present her credentials as Ambassador of Pakistan to Guinea Bissau. Ambassador Sayed is concurrently accredited to Guinea Bissau in addition to Senegal. 

Before the ceremony Ambassador Sayed called on the Foreign Minister of Guinea Bissau, Carlos Pinto Pereira and presented copies of her credentials. They discussed means for enhancing bilateral cooperation and finalizing pending MoUs in different sectors. 

She presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo in a formal ceremony at the Presidential Palace. She highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and promoting trade engagement. President Embalo wished her success for her tenure as Ambassador to Guinea Bissau. While talking to the local press, she highlighted existing bilateral engagements like supporting each other at multilateral fora and diplomats from Guinea Bissau undergoing trainings at Foreign Service Academy Islamabad.

During her stay in Bissau, Ambassador Sayed visited the Chambers of Commerce and met Mr. Eng. Mama Samba Emballo President Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture & Services of Guinea Bissau and other businessmen. They discussed enhancing trade engagement and participation in trade fairs in Pakistan
