Ambassador Saima Sayed visited The Gambia from October 5-8, 2023. Ambassador Saima Sayed is concurrently accredited to The Gambia as well while serving as Ambassador of Pakistan in Senegal.

During her visit, Ambassador Sayed attended a dinner hosted by the Hon. Consul General of Pakistan in The Gambia, Mr. Keba Krubally where Ambassador Sayed interacted with CEOs of Zenith Bank and Access Bank, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary Ministry of Commerce, prominent Businessmen and a Pakistani Plastic Surgeon based in Banjul.

Ambassador Sayed also attended a community event where she interacted with the very active Pakistani community based in the Gambia. The Ambassador introduced herself and her team and had a frank exchange of views with the Pakistanis there. They highlighted some challenges during travel within West Africa and requested the Embassy of Pakistan to facilitate. Ambassador Sayed extended all assurance of support by the Embassy of Pakistan in Dakar to the Pakistani diaspora in The Gambia.
