The Embassy of Pakistan in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, hosted an event to celebrate the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) on 25 August 2026. The theme of the event was “Protection, Development and Character Building of the Younger Generation in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam” (سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں نسل نو کا تحفظ، تعمیر اور کردار). The event started with a recitation from the Holy Quran and exchange of thoughts from the community members on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).

In his address, Ambassador Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood gave a comprehensive overview of the theme, explaining its critical importance. The focus was on following and obeying to the authority and remaining loyal to the country. He emphasized that Prophet’s path is the surest way to secure a peaceful and prosperous future for the nation and true success lies in harmonizing modern education and scientific advancement with deep spiritual values while shaping the younger generation.

The event concluded with prayers for the prosperity of Pakistan and its people.
