In solidarity with the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan and in eternal remembrance of our Shuhada, the Embassy celebrated Youm-e-Tashakur on May 16, 2025 in a befitting manner. The occasion honored the nation’s guardians following the victory of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, while collectively expressing gratitude to Allah Almighty for His countless blessings.

A flag-hoisting ceremony was organized at the Chancery in the morning. In the evening, community members were invited at the Embassy to celebrate this auspicious day and to promote national unity and strength. A large number of Pakistani community members, along with their families and Ivorian friends participated in the event with zeal and festivity. To commemorate the day and to mark the splendid victory of Pakistan, the Embassy was luminated with lights.
 
In his address to the Community members, Ambassador Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood paid solemn tribute to the nation’s defenders, highlighting the critical role and sacrifices of Pakistan’s brave armed forces in protecting and preserving the homeland. He also emphasized that with unity and discipline we can overcome any challenge and defeat our enemies. He also highlighted India's belligerent acts and atrocities in the region and Pakistan’s unwavering resolution to stand against all these odds to protect its sovereignty.

During the event Pakistan's military potential, defence capabilities and equipments portraits were also showcased to apprise the community members about the abilities and capabilities which Pakistan maintains in the defence sector. Special prayers for the country and its valiant armed forces were also offered.
