1.  Embassy of Pakistan in Abidjan hosted an event to observe the Defence and Martyrs’ Day at the Embassy on 06 September 2024. Members of Pakistani Community in Abidjan and the Embassy officials participated.  The ceremony started with recitation of Holy Quran. Messages of the President, Prime Minister for the occasion were read. 

2.  While making remarks, Ambassador welcomed members of Pakistani community and congratulated them on Defence and Martyrs’ Day. An interactive session with the community was held to create awareness about the role Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies in the fulfilment of the sacred task of defending the country. The event ended with special prayers for the Ghazis and Shuhada, who rendered immense sacrifices and bravely defended the country against external aggression.

3.  Light refreshments were served after the program.
