Pakistan Embassy Rome emphatically celebrated 1st anniversary of Marka-e-Haq by hosting its flagship “Civil Society Dialogue” under umbrella of “Pakistan Italy Friendship Forum” 

The Event was themed “Proactive Pursuit of Peace & Prosperity- Pakistan a Zipper State & Regional Stabilizer” 

Participants included Security Expert from leading think tank (CeSI), 7 print & electronic media representatives including national TV “RAI” and 2 Italian language dailies “La Repubblica,”, “il Messaggero”, as well as Director of “Nova News Agency” and weekly Journal “Zero Kilometer”. Two international journalists represented “Rome Press Club” 

A group of Masters and Ph.D students from  Italian leading foreign affairs institution “LUISS University” also participated along with Academia, Christian Human Rights Organisation “Sant Egidio Community” and INGO named after K-2 which is engaged with scientific studies over Pakistani Glaciers.

Deep & diverse participation ensured a full Spectrum engagement with a blend of age, experience, expertise & perspectives.

Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Honble Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, opened the Event live with Special Key-Note  address underscoring Pakistan’s democratic credentials, demonstrated resolve to defend sovereignty and leading role in promoting diplomacy & dialogue in establishing peace.

This was 6.0 Session of public diplomacy & outreach initiative for engagement with Italian civil society. The platform was conceived & executed by Ambassador Ali Javed soon upon assuming his position and was launched on Feb 5, Kashmir Day 2023.
