Italy is a key political partner within EU with shared perceptions on many international issues, particularly, UN reform; and a reliable supplier of military equipment;4th largest trading partners in the Union; the highest source of remittances (#1) and home to largest 300,000 Pakistani diaspora in EU (#1). 
In 2023/24, Bilateral trade between Pakistan and Italy continued to cross Billion-dollar benchmark destination for Pakistani exports i.e. $ 1.436 Bn, with balance of trade favoring Pakistan. 
Imports from Italy are $315.33 mn included machinery plants, or lab equipment, animal or vegetable fertilizers, taps, valves etc. Our exports to Italy are 1.12 bn dollars that include rice, cotton, ethyl alcohol, garments and leather products, textile etc.
