To commemorate Pakistan Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Rome. Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Ali Javed hoisted the flag to the tune of the national anthem and read out messages from the President and Prime Minister. 

The ongoing struggle and unparalleled sacrifices of Kashmiris for freedom from illegal Indian occupation were also highlighted alongwith reiteration of continued moral, political and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people for their right of self-determination as acknowledged by UNSC Resolution. At the same time, serious concerns were expressed over the indiscriminate killing of innocent Palestinians by Israel and Pakistan's principled stand for the establishment of an independent and sustainable Palestinian State was reaffirmed.

The enthusiasm of the children added colour and vibrance to the proceedings. The Children sang the national anthem during hoisting of flag and chanted Pakistan Zindabad.
