High Commissioner Mr. Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on H.E. Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare today . The meeting focused on exploring mutually beneficial avenues of cooperation in the health sector.
The High Commissioner briefed the Hon’ble Adviser on the advanced and cost-effective medical facilities available in Pakistan. He highlighted the growing number of Bangladeshi patients seeking medical treatment in Pakistan owing to lower cost quality medical services , direct air connectivity, cultural and familial affinities.
The two sides also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in areas such as medical education & training, forensic sciences, pharmaceuticals and public health. The Hon’ble Minister observed that the health sector offers significant potential for mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to strengthen institutional linkages to fully harness the vast potential of cooperation in the health sector.
