The 78th Kashmir Black Day was observed by the Embassy of Pakistan, Abidjan, today on 27th October, 2025, in solidarity with the People of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) against the forcible and illegal occupation and for their right to self-determination. The event was attended by members of Pakistani community and the Embassy officials.
The programme began with recitation from Holy Quran. Messages of the President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out to the audience and also disseminated among the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood gave an overview on the background of ‘Kashmir Black Day’ highlighting the prevailing situation in IIOJK. Ambassador said, that despite India’s 78 years long brutal subjugation, the People of IIOJK have not surrendered to forced occupation and are striving for their unalienable right to self-determination. The Ambassador stated that Pakistan would continue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to our brothers and sisters in IIOJK. Prayers were offered for the success of people of IIOJK.
