Kashmir Solidarity Day (05 February 2026)

The Embassy of Pakistan in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire organized an event to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day at the Embassy on 05 February 2026. Members of Pakistani Community in Abidjan and the Embassy Officials attended the event.

The programme began with recitation from Holy Quran. Messages of the President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out to the audience and also disseminated among the community. A special documentary on Kashmir was also shown to the audience.

Ambassador Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood gave an overview of the background of 'Kashmir Solidarity Day’, highlighting the prevailing situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The Ambassador stated that Pakistan would continue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to our brothers and sisters in IIOJK. Prayers were offered for the success of people of IIOJK.
