Embassy of Pakistan in Abidjan hosted an event to observe Youme e Istehsal day at the Embassy on 5th August, 2024. Members of Pakistani Community in Abidjan and the Embassy officials participated. The event commenced with recitation of Holy Quran. After National Anthem of Pakistan, messages of the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister for the occasion were read out.
While making remark, Ambassador stated that people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) are suffering at the hands of Indian Occupation forces since 1947. Indian forces have violated basic human rights of the people of IIOJK over the years killing over a hundred thousand Kashmiris including women children and unarmed civilians. Ambassador commended the valiant struggle by people of IIOJK who have refused to accept the Indian occupation. Ambassador reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to our Kashmiri brothers and sisters toward a just and peaceful settlement of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
The brutalities committed by Indian Forces, especially after abrogation of Article 370 to destroy the unique identity of Kashmir, were explained with reference to history and change of demography. The recent spate of civilian killings in IIOJK shows that BJP lead Modi Government is committing genocide and pursuing state terrorism.
