Hon'ble Minister OPHRD Chaudhry Salik Hussain, is undertaking bilateral visit to Italy (16-19 September). He Presided over a Town Hall Meeting, inspected Consular Services while welcoming the re-initiation of NADRA service after a gap of 5 years, was Chief Guest at “Achievement Awards 2025”, an initiative launched by Ambassador Ali Javed to honour and recognize the extraordinary achievements of Pakistani community as well as outstanding selfless services to Pak-Italy friendship by Italian citizens.

The Awards for “Extraordinary Services” were conferred against formal recognition in fields of education, humanitarian & social services, politics, sports, literature, science, research and medicine.

The awardees included Professor Carlo Alberto Pinelli (60 yrs of services to K2 & Northern Areas), Father Robert McCulloch (40 yrs humanitarian services & upcoming Palliative Daycare Cancer Hospital Hyderabad), Mr. Khalid Mehboob (55yrs @ FAO), Mr. Paul Bhatti and Mr. Ranjit Singh Masuta (Interfaith Harmony), Mr. Costantino Parma and Mr. Marco Marchetti (Olive Tree Cultivation), and Mr. Fabirizio Sallemi (Chaunsa Icecream).

The “Achievement Awards” were conferred upon Dr. Shahid Mobeen (Literature), Mr. Maurizio Gallo (Climate Change), Mr. Andrea Margelletti (think tank linkages), Mr. Enrico Singer (Italian Media) Mr. Farmanullah Niazi, Mr. Raja Zulfiqar and Mr. Ejaz (Ethnic Media & Journalism), Mr. Elizer Zahid Gill, Dr. Ifrah Ferheen, Mr. Mohsin Muhhyuddin (Science, Research), Dr. Anas Rashid (Medicine), Mr. Yar Mohammad Bilal (Technical Research), Mr. M Ahmed (Poetry), Mr. Usama Zafar and Mr. Samiullah (Sports).

‘Certificates of Appreciation’ were also awarded to Mr. M Ashfaq Attari and Ms. Nawal Zaheer (Poetry).

Separately, Winners from ‘Marka-e-Haq Sketch Competition’ were awarded certificates and cash prizes to Ms. Suman Mehmood (1st) Mr. Mudassir Hussain (2nd) and Ms. Maham Sohail (3rd).

The Extraordinary and unprecedented interaction and awards ceremony hosted by the Mission centered its focus on decades-long selfless services rendered by Italian ‘Friends of Pakistan’ and projected the brilliance of Pakistani community in Italy.

Following the ceremony, Minister Salik Hussain freely interacted and exchanged views with near 100 community members in addition to all awardees.
