Observance of “Kashmir Solidarity Day” at Pakistan Embassy Kabul
Kabul: 5th February, 2025
The Pakistani nation commemorates the Kashmir Solidarity Day each year to reaffirm their resolute commitment to the rightful and lawful struggle of the Kashmiri people in achieving their right to self-determination which has been denied to Kashmiri people during the 78 years of Illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. Support for the just cause of Kashmiris remains a cornerstone of our foreign policy. We will continue to provide unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir until they achieve their right to self-determination. These views were expressed by Pakistan’s Head of Mission Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani while addressing “Kashmir Solidarity Day” ceremony organized at Pakistan Embassy Kabul.
He added that the brutal oppression of Kashmiris continues unabated under the watch of Indian military. Civil and political rights of Kashmiris are being trampled, and arbitrary detentions have been normalized. India must realize that colonization of Jamu and Kashmir and suppression of their legitimate aspirations cannot result in the lasting peace in South Asia. For stability in South Asia, the international community must exert its political and diplomatic pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolution, provision of international law, India’s commitments to the world and the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, messages of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Dy. Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar were read during the ceremony.
