Pakistan today qualified for the Hockey World Cup after securing a thumping 8–0 victory in the second match of the series , following their 8–2 win in the first match . The third and final match will be played on Sunday.
High Commissioner Imran Haider witnessed the match at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium Dhaka . He congratulated the national team on their qualification and commended the players on their performance. He appreciated and extended his best wishes to the Bangladesh team.
