A delegation from Pakistan’s date and citrus industry conducted a series of productive engagements in Dhaka, fostering trade ties and exploring opportunities to expand fresh fruit exports to Bangladesh.
The delegation held discussions with the Bangladesh Fresh Fruit Importers' Association and visited the iconic Badamtoli Market, where they engaged with local traders and explored market dynamics. They also held a productive meeting with the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), which featured a networking session with prominent Bangladeshi businesses, fostering collaboration in the fruit trade sector.
The delegation met with the Administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and discussed opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade in the dates and fresh fruit sector. The meeting was complemented by networking sessions with Bangladeshi stakeholders.
Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof hosted the delegation at Pakistan House and highlighted the significance of promoting Pakistan’s fresh produce in Bangladesh. He said that such business-to-business engagements serve as vital platforms to strengthen trade ties and showcase the quality and diversity of Pakistani products.
