Manama, Bahrain — The Embassy of Pakistan in the Kingdom of Bahrain held a special investiture ceremony to confer Pakistan's civil awards upon two distinguished members of the Pakistani community, Mr. Saleem Asghar Ali and Mr. Noor Rehman Abid, in recognition of their outstanding contributions and services.
On behalf of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Saqib Rauf, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain bestowed the Sitara-e-Imtiaz upon Mr. Saleem Asghar Ali and the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz upon Mr. Noor Rehman Abid.
The awards were conferred in recognition of their exceptional achievements, professional excellence, philanthropy, and valuable contributions to society. Mr. Saleem Asghar Ali, a distinguished businessman and philanthropist, has made significant contributions through his leadership of the Asghar Ali Group and Style Textile, his longstanding support for education sector in Pakistan and the Pakistani community in Bahrain, and his service as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Pakistan Urdu School in Bahrain since 2003. Mr. Noor Rehman Abid, a prominent chartered accountant and philanthropist, has rendered outstanding services through mentoring and supporting aspiring Pakistani accounting professionals and through his charitable work for education, healthcare, and the welfare of underprivileged communities. Their efforts have enhanced the image of Pakistan and contributed to strengthening Pakistan-Bahrain relations.
The Ambassador congratulated the award recipients and noted that the Government of Pakistan deeply values their contributions and takes pride in recognizing individuals whose dedication and accomplishments bring distinction to the nation. Mr. Saleem Asghar Ali and Mr. Noor Rehman Abid expressed their gratitude to the President and the Government of Pakistan for the honour bestowed upon them and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their efforts in service of the Pakistani community and the promotion of Pakistan's interests abroad.
The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the Pakistani community, business leaders, and officials of the Embassy of Pakistan.
