University of Chittagong and the High Commission of Pakistan organised a seminar titled ‘Allama Iqbal’s Thought on Nationalism’ at the University Auditorium. Dr. Baseera Ambreen, Professor, Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Oriental College, University of the Punjab, Lahore, was the Keynote Speaker. In her discourse, she noted that the message of Allama Iqbal transcends geographical boundaries. His philosophy of Khudi, unity and focus on moral and spiritual aspects of human nature has motivated generations.
A large number of students, faculty members and scholars also attended the Seminar.
Later on, Dr Baseera called on Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yahya Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of the University.
