A ceremony was held in the Pakistan Embassy, Dakar to commemorate Youm e Istehsal in solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Messages of the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister were read out. Ambassador Saima Sayed talked about the significance of this day. Pakistani children also participated and made short remarks on the occasion.  Pakistani families along with local Senegalese guests attended the ceremony.

A phot exhibition showcasing the plight of the Kashmiris was also set up. A documentary and a song especially prepared for this event were shown to the audience as well.
