Ms. Saima Sayed is currently Ambassador of Pakistan in Senegal with concurrent accreditation to Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Cabo Verde with residence in Dakar.
Ambassador Sayed joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2004. She has served the Ministry in Islamabad as Assistant Director (2005-2007), Deputy Director (2010-2011), Deputy Chief of Protocol (2011-2012) and Director (2018-2021).
She served as Director General from (January 2021- February 2023) and Deputy Spokesperson from (November 2022- February 2023) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She has held various diplomatic positions in Pakistan’s Missions abroad: Paris (2007-2010), New Delhi (2012-2015), and New York-UN (2015-2018).
Born in 1978. Holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She speaks Urdu, Punjabi, English and French.
