Attestation/Legalization of Power of Attorney

1. Applicant must bring the original Power of Attorney in person along with his original CNIC/NICOP and Passport.
   2. Proforma for Attestation of Power of Attorney can be downloaded here
   3. Two witnesses are required and both must be present in person along with their original CNIC/NICOP/Passport.
   4. Two Photographs of Executant are required to be pasted on the Power of Attorney.
   5. Two photocopies of CNIC/NICOP/Passport of Executantand Witnesses.
   6. One Photocopy of the Power Attorney to be legalized.
   7. The Executant and both witnesses must sign the Power of Attorney in presence of Embassy’s Consular Staff Member. Already signed copy of Power of Attorney will not be accepted.
   8. The Executant must provide his as well as Attorney’s Telephone Number and Residential Address.
   9. Please note that after legalization of Power of Attorney  by the Embassy, the deadline for registration of the power of attorneyfrom the concerned Assistant Commissioner / Additional Collector /Sub Registrar etc, meant for attorney/nominee is four months.
   10. Fee for Attestation/Legalization of Power of Attorney is PLN 100/- Original bank transfer slip should be attached with the document.

Attestation of Documents issued in Pakistan

1. Application from the Applicant
   2. All Pakistani documents (e.g. Educational Certificates/NADRA Certificates etc..) must be attested/legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan before attestation at this Embassy.
   3. One photocopy is required to be submitted with the original document along with photocopies of CNIC/NICOP, Passport, and Resident Card/Visa/Pesel Number.
   4. Fee for Attestation/Legalization of Documents issued in Pakistan is PLN 50/- per attestation.
   5. Photocopies of all the documents to be legalized are to be submitted along with the original.
   6. The process of attestation takes approximately 15 working days.

Attestation of Documents Issued in Poland/Latvia/Estonia/Lithuania

Application from the Applicant

• Foreign documents must be first attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland/Latvia/Estonia/Lithuania.
• The attestation fee per document should be deposited in the bank
• Original bank transfer slip should be attached with the document.
• Fee for Attestation of Authority Letter/ Power of Attorney is PLN 1050/- (per document)
• Fee for Legalization of Commercial (except Power of Attorney/ Authority letter) original document/signatures is PLN. 500/- (per document)
• Fee for Legalization of Personal original document/signatures is PLN. 200/- (per document)
• Fee for attestation of Faktura or bill is PLN 315/- (per document)
• Photocopies of all the documents to be legalized are to be submitted alongwith original.
• The process of attestation takes approximately 15 working days.

RENUNCIATION OF CITIZENSHIP

For renunciation of nationality individual must complete the under mentioned formalities:

Renunciation Certificate once received from IMPASS will be handed over to the applicant on production of NADRA online receipt of cancellation of ID card.

The Process of Renunciation of Pakistani Citizenship takes approximately six (6) Months.

Note: The Renunciation Certificate would be issued as per Form-X. Therefore, name spellings on Form-X, NICOP, Pakistan Passport, Assurance letter/foreign Passport should be the same. In case of any variation/name change, an application with supporting document may be attached with the application.

NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) and POC (Pakistan Origin Card)

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a Web Based Application System named as “Pak Identity” for processing of NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) and POC (Pakistan Origin Card) applications online in order to facilitate Pakistani expatriates. Now the expatriates can directly apply for their NICOP/POC Cards online.
