An Agreement on Culture, Sports and Tourism Cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan was signed on 1 July 1992. The agreement envisages facilitation of mutual acquaintance of peoples with the culture and art, encourage study of the language, culture, history, literature, fine arts and music, exchanges of theatre and performing arts, documentary and educational films and cooperation in the sphere of radio and television programmes, news coverage and closer liaison between the news agencies of the two countries.
An MoU between Pakistan and Tajikistan for cooperation in the sphere of Tourism, Hospitality and Investment in Tourism sector was signed on 17 September 2021. Previously, an Agreement on Culture, Sports and Tourism Cooperation between the two countries was signed on 1 July 1992.

A two-member Pakistan Athletic Team represented Pakistan in the 8th Dushanbe International Half-Marathon held on 15 April 2017. The National Women’s Football Team of Pakistan played their qualifying rounds for Paris Olympics 2024 in April 2023 in the city of Hissor in Tajikistan. The Men’s Football Team of Pakistan also played a FIFA World Cup qualifying round match in Tajikistan on 11 June 2024.
